The Dr. Shestack experience is a departure from modern volume based practices and the mentality of every other doctor I've been to over the last few years. His bedside manner (possibly the most important factor for a patient) is such a welcome breath of fresh air. I recently permanently moved from NJ to Delray Beach, FL and started replacing all my Drs., as I am a senior. I do so by vetting every specialist on line first with certain parameters. How many 4 star references and I would read many of the positive & negative references. Where they graduated med school from and where they had their residencies etc. Well Dr. Shestack hit high scores on all my parameters. And so I booked, and I was NOT sorry, he is more than a pain DR. he is like a PAIN, a medical facilitator and an all around great guy. He follows up, does what he says he is going to do, and is great to talk to. He looked at the MRI reports and CD of my neck & shoulder and immediately collaborated with me on some plans. I Highly recommend Dr. Shestack.

Dr Shestack is the best

Dr Shestack is the absolute best!!! We moved here 2 years ago and thought he would be crippled in the future. His back always hurt after his failed surgery years before. Dr Shestack gave him his life back he’s pain free and has Dr S found him a regiment to live by. He also is now there for me as well. His staff is wonderful as well. They are knowledgeable, helpful, and extremely pleasant. Don’t hesitate this is the Doctor you want!!!

Professional knowledgeable kind

I went to Dr. Blanco because I had read that his practice takes a multi-disciplinary approach to treating chronic pain. That is exactly what I was looking for and Dr. Blanco confirmed, right at the outset, that his practice does just that! I fell and required a hip replacement. The recovery requires physical therepy to improve my balance and build strength. I also have spinal stenosis which shoots terrific pain down my leg, so exercising was nearly impossible. The Physical Therapists and my pain doctors were in their individual silos, each addressing their own specialities and almost oblivious to the other. Then I found Dr. Blanco. I was very impressed by his knowledge and understanding about my situation. He recommended exercises that would build my strength and at the same time offered solutions to control my pain so that I'd get the maximum benefit from my physical therapy. I could not ask for a better, more insightful doctor.

Before seeing Dr. Blanco, I took the time to search for a doctor that doesn’t have a treatment plan in place prior to meeting me and knowing of my medical history. Dr. Blanco was the only doctor to do that. Unlike the doctor that I met with a week prior, Dr. Blanco allowed me to speak - while he listened- intently- making no attempt to dash to the next patient. But the (FRONT) RECEPTION STAFF needs some lessons on “COURTESY AND PATIENT APPRECIATION!” I have visited this Delray office a few times, and the staff fails a “simple greeting” each occasion. This time I had to wait like 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment. It happens. Once i was called in the staff was very professional. Dr. Powers explained the procedure and did a great job. I would have liked to get some insight into if I should continue on the meds he’s been subscribing. There was no mention of that.

Dr. Shestack has been my miracle doctor for the last 5 years. He has a great personality is always concerned about your pain level during a procedure. I have had several procedures with him and most of the time the pain is gone. I also love the the music he listens too during a procedure he hums. He will forever be my go to doctor. Love him.

The ablation appears to be successful. As noted there is a little soreness, but the pain as all but subsided. I just hope it's long term. It's been tough for over three years, but this procedure is really the only one that has really worked. It also appears that my balance has improved a bit as well.

PLEASANT AND INFORMATIVE

There's just one thing we've got to change. Dr. B used to ask me at the end of every visit if I needed any refills on my medication, now he doesn't. I need his guidance with this because I take 14 different prescriptions, I don't know I'm running out until I'm running out. This always happens on a weekend, so by Monday I'm not feeling well and I have to call the front desk and try to convince them to ask the Dr. permission to fill that prescription - because I was just there. It should have been done at my visit but it wasn't. Sometimes they yes, but sometimes they say no and that's really frustrating. Yesterday I called the front desk about my refills. The message on the Voice Mail specifically says to leave only 1 voice mail, they will call me back. Well, they didn't call back. So that makes me wait another day, and now I'm really upset when I call on Tues. Then it was taken care of right away. Thank you. But please, ask me at my visits if I need refills. Doctors don't give multiple refills anymore. I used to get up to 11 refills on some meds, now I don't even get 1. That's a problem too on a larger scale. That's it, I'm finished. Dr Adam Shestack is a true professional. He monitors my wife and I for our separate issues and helps us keep medicine to a minimum. I am not a fan of pills and Dr Shestack doesn’t push them which I really like.

Went to see Dr Blanco w/o appt. Had previous treatment for arthritic shoulder which lasted several months but ready for another shot. No problem in and out within 40 minutes. So far so good and hopefully will last several more months.

I've struggled my entire life with different types of pain. I have very bad neuropathy in my feet, as well as injuries to my lower back. The problem is that I have issues that cause extreme pain, but unfortunately, they don't meet the criteria for surgery. I have been seeing Dr. Blanco for a few years and there is not one negative thing I could say. His office staff are the best, and his nurses and assistants that take you back to the exam rooms are EXCELLENT. Being 53 years old, I've seen my share of pain management physicians and most just throw pills at you and move on to the next patient. Not Dr. Blanco, he takes the time to always explain EVERYTHING!! Even when you don't ask, he explains and physically shows you what's wrong and where it is radiating from. As I have shared, Dr. Blanco not only takes the time to explain the different options, but he also takes a moment to just check in to ensure you are doing well. I've never felt rushed and something that is rare in South Florida doctors’ offices, I have ALWAYS felt heard!!! That's an anomaly in South Florida. I don't really know Dr. Shestack, but I did see him once when I was admitted into Delray Medical, and he had an amazing bedside manner. Unlike almost every physician I have seen in the hospital, Dr. Shestack listened and gave me a moment of his time, without rushing me. Overall, this is an amazing practice and sometimes there is a short wait, but that's because they care. They don't just take your co-pay and move on to the next patient. You simply will not find another practice that treats their patients with the utmost care and respect, and you will not find another Dr. Blanco!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!

In and out in 30 minutes procedure went well

I was suffering from pain in my lower back and could hardly stand up straight. I was sick to my stomach constantly and just wanted to lie down and be left alone. I had no quality of life and if tomorrow didn't come that was alright with me. Dr. Blanco accepted me as a patient and I feel that he is a miracle worker.
